A musician and writer born in Yaoundé in 1974. He sings mainly in Bassa, his mother tongue, blending Bantu rhythms with jazz, soul and funk.
What made them famous
His album "1958" (2019) pays tribute to Ruben Um Nyobè, a figure of Cameroonian anti-colonial resistance. Internationally acclaimed, it earned him the SACEM Grand Prix for world music and a Songlines Music Award.
