Who are they?
A striker born in 1981 in Nkon, near Yaoundé. He left for Spain as a teenager, played for Real Madrid and Mallorca, then became a key figure at FC Barcelona and Inter Milan.
What made them famous
He won three Champions League titles: two with Barcelona (2006, 2009) and one with Inter Milan (2010), as part of the side that completed the treble. A rare European record for an African player.

- Four-time African Footballer of the Year (2003, 2004, 2005 and 2010), a record.
- Olympic champion at Sydney 2000, scoring the equaliser in the final against Spain and converting his penalty in the shootout.
- African Cup of Nations winner in 2000 and 2002 with the Indomitable Lions.
