What is it?
A sauce of tasba leaves (Senna obtusifolia, formerly Cassia obtusifolia), a wild plant that grows on fallow land. Among the Fulani of Diamaré it belongs to the leaf sauces to which peanut paste is added.

Origin and tradition
Tasba is a wild plant gathered mostly on communal fallow land, often too degraded for crops. It is harvested by women, who are responsible for feeding the family; it holds a full place in the traditional food system of the North.
